MOU SIGNING SET, Shenzhen bourse help boost Thai, Chinese SMEs

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) to expand business opportunities for Thai and Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and broaden opportunities in investment as well as promoting cross-border collaboration among the two countries.
An activist who has been fighting for years against the planned dredging of sections of the Mekong River for greater shipping access has called on the authorities to clarify the status of the project, which was supposed to have been cancelled following a meeting between Thai and Chinese officials last month.
